Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive

To Market, to Market

After staying up late drinking, I decided I was allowed to sleep in, but I was still downstairs by 9.15, as the girls and I chatted outside with toast and coffee. We considered waking JK but then what was the point? We weren’t doing anything so we might as well let him sleep!

It was decided that today we would be allowed to go to the market with Grace and we were all super excited at being let out. Showered (freezing again) and dressed we headed outside, but were waylaid by the men cutting down coconuts.

But why is the rum gone?

After jolting awake at 8.30am (a spider crawled across my head) it seemed like a good idea to get up – after all everyone else had been up for a while (crazy kids).

In the daylight, we realised how much land was attached to the house and how big the Atlantic Ocean was (well, as in how far we could see out to sea).

Akwaabe to Accra

So, once again I’m off on my travels – in fact this trip will see me visit the fourth continent of this year. I’m quite impressed with that, especially as I usually only manage one holiday and perhaps a city break.

Despite a slight change of plans to our trip, meaning that BB wouldn’t be joining us for a week (mislaid passport = visa delays), meaning JK was on his own with four girls, and a slight change of accommodation, we headed to the airport. Everything seemed pretty straightforward, OK journey, checked in and through security. Easy.
